"Complete Handset Validation Before this Step 169" - SBI Mobile Registration Error

Your mobile must be validated before registering your mobile number with your SBI account. To do this follow the simple steps below.

1. Type the message MBSREG from your mobile and send to 9223440000.
2. You will shortly receive your User ID and Default MPIN.
3. Note down your user id and default mpin.
4. Now type SMPIN<space>UserID<space>Default MPIN<space>New MPIN and send to 9223440000 in order to change your default mpin. For example
  • SMPIN<space>pjl123<space>123456<space>654321
5. You will get two SMS with the following message –
  • “Your MPIN is changed”
  • “Validation from handset successful. Complete registration process at ATM/ branch, if not already done.
6. After receiving the second message regarding successful validation from handset, proceed to SBI ATM /Branch and register your mobile number.

  5. Hi, I cant send the message MBSREG to 9223440000.I dont know the reason behind. Is there any other way to validate the handset or any idea about the problem am facing?

  6. Validation from handset successful. Complete registration process at ATM/ Internet Banking/ Branch. Tid=020330920975 after getting this message also still having above mentioned problem while registering at state bank ATM

  8. I tried to register my mob no. several times through green channel at HALDIA IOC SBI branch. But the officials of the said branch are ignorant about HANDSET VALIDATION. I learned the process from this page.

    i have user id & password, but last couple of days back i had changed my new handset after that when i am trying to do login that time its unable to login successfully,it shows handset error.
    so how can i configure this with new handset. and my mobile number is same which is not change only handset is changed. kindly provide feedback to solve this query.

Same problem..i am facing.i have changed mpin and got sms regarding mpin changed and handset validation is successful.after that i got an activation key to send 9223440000 within 30 minutes,which i sent.then i went to atm and registered mobile number as instruction.and finally i got a slip and sms that registration is successful.meanwhile i got sms in my mobile that registration is successful and mmid number and i can send and receive money through imps service. In spite of it..i am getting handset activation is pending during login.and i am unable to login.why?????? Please somebody help me..what's the problem?
